Animal Quilts

The quilts on this page all have animal themes, and they were made
for people of all ages. Proceeds from these Animal Quilts support a variety of well-known national organizations that work to protect wild, domestic, farm, and entertainment animals from neglect, abuse, cruelty, habitat loss, and extinction. These organizations include the Ocean Conservancy (www.oceanconservancy.org), Environmental Defense Fund (www.edf.org), Nature Conservancy (www.nature.org), Sierra Club Foundation (www.sierraclubfoundation.org), Rainforest Alliance (www.rainforestalliance.org), National Wildlife Federation (www.nwf.org), National Audubon Society (www.audubon.org), and Humane Society of the United States (www.humanesociety.org). In addition, proceeds from these quilts support Pets Lifeline and Lyon Ranch in Sonoma, CA, the former a shelter and clinic for cats and dogs, and the latter a rescue and rehabilitation center for wild animals.

A note about my Animal Quilts:
Quilts featuring animals are very popular, even as awareness grows about the abuse and exploitation of animals around the globe. I try to use my quilts educationally, and I include information about the animals in my quilts when I complete customer orders. A circus quilt, for example, will support an organization that provides sanctuary for circus animals, and my information to the customer will include resources for educating future generations about the exploitation of animals used for entertainment. In time, circuses will be a dim memory, and even now, I try to choose fabrics that portray the circus as an old-fashioned, "vintage" experience.

As with most of my quilts, these can be reproduced or made similarly to the pictures, customized in different colors, styles, and layouts according to your specifications.
